Westex has fabricated over 1,500 Custom Fire and Rescue Apparatus and general-purpose bodies. You can trust our reputation for reliable service and fair trade practices. Mr. Raymond Matus founded our family owned and operated business in 1951 in the town of West, Texas. Since then, the scale of manufacturing has included skid units, brush trucks, pumper and tanker bodies, rescue trucks, as well as loose equipment. The skill of our well-trained senior technicians and quality workmanship can be seen in all body components that are produced with our trusted fabrication process. This includes all sub-frames, body panels, compartments and poly tanks. Westex production technicians take pride in delivering custom fire equipment that is built to the customer's specifications. Westex is a designated aftermarket converter by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. This allows us to build on our customers furnished cab / chassis units. We operate our own U.L. Test Facility to ensure that each new delivery is tested and certified to meet the latest requirements established by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
