I started SCG in 2009 to pursue my passion for designing and installing professional audio visual systems. I grew up in a fairly average home and have always been a bit of an audio geek. My junior high years involved playing with as many stereos as I could get my hands on. I always wanted to see just how many speakers the amplifier could handle. A lot of thanks goes to my mother for all her patience and for letting me pursue my interests. In high school I started building speakers and designing crossovers. I had a car stereo that would shake the dishes in our house from the driveway all in the name of scientific discovery of course! After high school I spent 6 years in the U.S. Navy working on the weapons control systems of the USS Normandy. It truly was a great honor to serve, and I had the opportunity to work with some of the finest people our country has to offer. I learned a lot about hard work, integrity and taking pride in my work. After my six years in the Navy, my wife and I moved back up to our home town here in Michigan. Now I run audio at my church and am also part of our praise team. I see this business as the next step in my career. I want to provide the quality and service that I sometimes find lacking in the audio/visual world.
