SCM is independently owned by active employees (four principals represent 100% of the firm's ownership). Initially founded as a global investment manager in 1984, the firm later expanded to include international and domestic large cap growth strategies. The firm manages accounts for both institutions and high net worth clients. Headquartered in Stamford, CT, there are eight employees dedicated to investment management, trading, marketing and client services of the firm's equity strategies. SCM has a strong client base with a diversified group of institutional clients consisting of corporate plans, public pension plans, foundations, endowments, and Taft-Hartley accounts.
