The Fargo Force is the newest addition to the Tier 1 United States Hockey League (USHL) bringing the league team total to twelve. The USHL is America's first and only Tier 1 junior hockey league with its mission to develop young hockey talent. Dean Blais, former UND Head Coach that led his team to two National Championships, will lead the Fargo Force as the Head Coach and GM. He is known for his up-tempo, offensive style so you won't want to miss any of the action.\r\n\r\nWhy the name Fargo Force? A Name the Team community contest in conjunction with WDAY radio and Forum Communications encouraged people throughout the valley to submit names for the new USHL team. Over 1,200 names were submitted. The list was cut to three names: Fargo Phantoms, Fargo Fire and Fargo Force, with Fargo Force being the winner. There were 12 people who submitted the name Fargo Force and they enjoyed dinner with Dean Blais and will receive a pair of season tickets to the inaugural season.
