The Cookie Nook is a one woman custom order bakery that grew from the of love baking. Owner/baker, Vanessa Young discovered her passion for baking while watching people enjoy her treats at local Scout meetings and events. She opened the Cookie Nook Bakery in 2009 and has never looked back. Vanessa has over fifteen years of experience in professional kitchens and currently operates from her fully licensed home kitchen in Surry Maine. When not baking and spending time with her family, Vanessa can be found playing roller derby or volunteering for the Boy Scouts of America. She has been with the Scouting program almost as long as she has been cooking. Vanessa currently serves as the District Commissioner, Activities Chair and Day Camp Director for the Hancock District of Katahdin Area Council.
