In 2000, owner and creative director Heidi Tweed Lusk started TMA as a freelance venture in Boone, North Carolina and created a full-service agency in 2004. "I had been working as Marketing Director of a tourism agency and was dealing with agencies who were overcharging me, not delivering a high quality product and not meeting deadlines. I saw a need and created The Meridian Agency to be an agency that is affordable to smaller businesses, yet still offers great quality and stellar customer service.
