The Public Service Pension Plan (PSPP) has served employees of the Government of Alberta and other public bodies since 1947. PSPP is a defined benefit plan which means you will receive a pension based on your pensionable salary and years of pensionable service. This enables you to plan for your retirement because you can estimate your future pension income. The Plan is financed by employee and employer contributions and by investment earnings.
