The LBH Group was founded in April 1984 by Dutch brothers Jan and Bert Lagendijk in their home port of Rotterdam. The brothers had both held various positions in Agency, Stevedoring and Trading before starting LBH. They had grown up around ships and commodities, with their father being an established figure in Dutch stevedoring circles. The company evolved the tagline 'Growing with you Globally' and over the last 30 years has expanded into more than 20 countries and opened over 70 of our own offices. The last 30 years has seen its fair share of cycles in both the shipping and commodity markets, we have been very fortunate to have had loyal clients with whom we have weathered the storms and turbulence thrown out by the markets over the last three decades. We are sincerely grateful for the support and friendship of our clients over the decades and look forward to building on these relationships in the coming years. In order to ensure seamless continuity and growth of the business in the future decades, we commenced at the beginning of 2013 a gradual process of corporate transition, with the appointment of Terry Gidlow and Ricardo Melo as joint CEO's. With the Board of Directors now consisting of Jan and Bert Lagendijk , Terry Gidlow and Ricardo Melo we are positioned to maintain and build on the achievements of the last 30 years and to ensure that the business continues 'Growing with you Globally' for the next 30 years.
