In the course of her final year in college, Heather Hawkins began her journey of designing and creating an inspired line of handbags that continues to evolve and grow, along with her creative passion. Her business was born from a simple incident when she damaged a handbag while trying to wash it. Her curiosity and imagination took over as she dismantled the bag, discovered how it was assembled, and then redesigned it. While out on the town, friends and strangers noticed the distinctly different designs Heather was creating, and coveted one for themselves.Soon after, Heather followed her passion and decided to embark upon an exciting new career in design. Heathers hard work and dedication to her passion has paid off. The Heather Hawkins line has grown exponentially and now encompasses a complete line of accessories including handbags, belts, and jewelry. Along the way she has been fortunate to travel to many countries, and meet fascinating people while sourcing materials and suppliers. The inspiration for the structure and patterns in Heathers designs are spawned from such diverse things as seashells, a ribbons weave, or the tiles on a rooftop in Italy.
