Alt & Associates is a full service law firm dedicated to serving clients in California and across the United States . The firm specializes in the representation of financial institutions involved in both commercial and residential mortgage lending. With over 30 years of experience, we provide services related to regulatory compliance, operations, transactional matters, and litigation. Transactional matters include the preparation and/or negotiation of warehouse agreements, correspondent agreements and other contracts needed by mortgage lenders. The firm's regulatory compliance practice encompasses federal issues, such as RESPA, ECOA and Truth in Lending, as well as HUD and VA matters. We also advise clients on state lending regulations and laws throughout the nation. Litigation is never pleasant, yet realistically, we know that our clients occasionally must face problems with issues evolving from lending, loan sales and warehouse agreements or repurchase requests. We also are frequently called upon to represent our lender clients in disputes with dissatisfied borrowers, or state and federal regulators, especially those related to TILA, RESPA and state foreclosure issues. As reflected in the Lenders Updates (see link to left of page), the current environment is one of constantly changing regulations and rules and often conflicting information coming from one or more agencies.
